With a plethora of lounges, nightclubs, and bars (and yes, even dive bars!), Long Beach has plenty of nightlife to indulge in. Long Beach is even said to have the best nightlife in Southern California!
In downtown, along Pine Avenue, from 4th Street to the Pike and Shoreline Village, live music venues, restaurants, bars and clubs line the area. Just as the city is very diverse, so is the nightlife. You can enjoy Top 40, Hip Hop, Spanish and Latin American fun, Irish pubs, Polynesian spots and more. If you’re not sure what you want to do, we’ll give you a few ideas to get you started (be sure the check with the venues to be sure they’re still around and get details of specific event nights).
- You can sing away at a Karaoke bar like KDB Long Beach, Sababa Restaurant and Lounge, or Sgt. Peppers Dueling Pianos Long Beach.
- Relax and shoot some pool at a dive bar like 36 36 Club on Broadway, Fern’s on 4th Street, the World Famous Reno Room on Broadway, or the Stache Bar (which some argue isn’t a dive, and which many say is the best bar in Long Beach).
- Dance the night away at a Dance Club which might include the popular Club Ripples on Ocean Boulevard, Shore Ultra Lounge (nice lounge and club with ocean view patios), or Club Cohiba on Broadway.
- Enjoy the Auld Dubliner Irish Pub on South Pine Avenue, the Congregation Ale House on Broadway, Cuban Pete’s Mojito Lounge on Pine Avenue, the Mai Tai Bar on Aquarium Way, or Sevilla Café and Nightclub on Pine Avenue.
This is just the tip of the iceberg. Long Beach doesn’t lack in nightlife options. There’s something for everyone, no matter your taste in music, your style, or whether you want to relax and unwind or get lively and dance, there are plenty of places to choose from.
